Work Experience
Valuable real-world experience that I've gained over the years.
Introduction to Sensors, Instrumentation, and Measurement (ISIM) NINJA
Olin College of Engineering, Needham, MA - Fall 2019
At Olin, NINJA stands for "Need Information Now? Just Ask!" NINJAs that are associated with courses are similar to teaching assistants (TAs) in other institutions. In ISIM, I was able to help students debug their circuits, provide feedback on their lab reports, and host office hours to provide extra academic support. As a NINJA to a foundation course, I was accessible to over 85 students throughout the semester.
The most rewarding part of the job was seeing students' eyes light up when a complex concept finally made sense to them or the feeling of relief when the root cause for an issue in a circuit was determined.
Controls and Software Engineering Program Management Intern
GE Transportation, Erie, PA - Summer 2019
I represented a full-time program manager in various status meetings, reporting to upper management on a weekly basis.
I updated the ClearQuest database weekly to achieve software release deadlines for major customers.
I developed a Python text-parsing tool to retrieve version numbers for locomotive configurations from baseline software automatically. This reduced the completion time from a week-long endeavor to a few minutes.
IT Student Assistant
Olin College of Engineering, Needham, MA - 2018-2019
As a member of the IT Help Desk, I assisted students, staff, and faculty with technology-related issues. I developed and strengthened troubleshooting skills and improved my communication of technical jargon to clients.
